Why she teaches languages: I love to share my passion for teaching and learning foreign languages. Through travelling, I have enjoyed many beautiful moments of connecting with people around the world. Knowing another language  broadens your horizon and helps you understand different cultural backgrounds and traditions. On a everyday basis, I experience children gaining more confidence, acceptance and flexibility in their way of thinking and learning.

Why she teachers languages: I love teaching languages because it brings new challenges every day and it is fun working with a bunch of different kids. Learning a new language broadens children's sense of cultural understanding and it is extremely rewarding seeing them grow and acquire new skills throughout the lessons.

Professional background: I was born in Australia to Italian parents. I spent seven years living in France with my French husband and our daughter. During that time, I pursued university studies in French and worked as an English language assistant in both primary and high schools. Since returning to Australia, I have worked at the same school for the past 22 years.

Why she teaches languages: I was lucky to grow up bilingual and I see a great benefit in knowing multiple languages. In European schools, it is compulsory to learn at least one language and I'd love to see the same opportunities provided in Australian schools. Plus I love working with kids!

Professional background: Qualified language teacher, TESOL certified, with over 15 years’ experience teaching children and teens both online and in schools. I have taught in Mexico, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and several other countries. After 25 years abroad, I am now happily based in Australia, in a place that feels very similar to my hometown of Lisbon.

Why she teaches languages: I love teaching languages, especially to children, who are often fascinated when they discover in my classes the connections between their native language and the one they’re learning. From the very first lesson, I encourage them to “crack the code” of languages. And, much like in sports, where muscles are trained, in language learning children and teens exercise and strengthen their brains. In doing so, they develop brain plasticity, making their thinking as flexible as their muscles. I applied this method with my own son from a young age, and today he speaks five languages. Your child just needs engaging exposure and consistency over time to go far.

Why she teaches languages: I love languages ​​and have been teaching for about 5 years... I started as a private tutor in France and here in Sydney I've taught at a community center and also as a bilingual educator (both in French).

Professional background: I’m originally from Venezuela and I have been working with children for the past six years in Australia. I hold a Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and I’m currently studying for my Diploma in Montessori Education. I enjoy attending courses and workshops around play-based learning, emotional development, and language learning… there’s always something new to discover in this field and I love staying inspired. I’m also the very grateful Mother of Ian, my 2-year-old boy, who shares my love for Spanish and will be helper in class!

Professional background: I’m originally from Peru and currently living in Australia. I’m a psychologist specialised in early childhood and educational development. I’ve worked in a range of educational and therapeutic settings, from nursery classrooms to therapy centres, supporting children both emotionally and academically. I’m passionate about child development and love combining psychology and education in my work.

Why she teaches languages: I believe that learning a language is much more than just vocabulary — it’s about discovering new cultures, forming connections, and gaining new perspectives.
